Back to normal...more or less

I apologize for the long delay in updating our blog…things have been quite busy since returning home from being at my parent’s house for the majority of last week. Speaking of last week, it was an emotionally hard one…to say the least. I want to thank all of you who have been keeping my family in your prayers…we greatly needed them and we feel/felt them too! My grandfather was 93 years old! He lived through many things in his long life. He is a survivor. He fought in World War II as a part of the Carlson’s Raiders. Before that, he was part of the Army Cavalry Unit. He enjoyed life to the fullest…and I am so thankful for the time that my family and I had with my grandfather. My brother-in-law, Jeff, put together a picture slideshow of my grandfather’s life and as my mom, sisters and I were thinking about what song to choose for the slideshow…a new rendition of an old hymn came to mind…

This song is so powerful and representative of how my grandfather’s “chains” are gone and he has been set free from his earthly body and is now residing with the Lord…
